Every finish is the same price. In the designer you can enter any length from 6 to 43 15/16 in. and fine-tune the depth, in 1/16-inch steps.
Where 18-inch deep shelves fit
- Walk-in pantries – space for bulk paper towels, stand mixers, slow cookers and stacked bins.
- Garage and utility closets – holds paint cans, tool cases and storage totes in a dry space.
- Deep wardrobes – a lower shelf for shoes, bags and bulky sweaters.
- Laundry rooms – a deeper shelf for detergent jugs and laundry baskets.
Planning a deep pantry or garage shelf
Deeper shelves are often loaded more heavily. Plan a support (a cleat on the wall, a bracket or a divider) at least every 30 to 32 in. for heavy items, and measure the depth from the wall to where you want the front edge to stop, so the shelf does not block a door or light switch.

Questions about 18-inch deep shelves
Is melamine OK for a garage or pantry?
Yes, in a dry space. The melamine surface wipes clean and resists stains, which makes it practical for pantries, laundry rooms and dry garages. It is not waterproof, so keep it away from standing water and leaks.
Can I get a longer 18-inch shelf?
The designer goes up to 43 15/16 in. long. For longer runs, order two shelves that meet over a support, or contact us through Trade & Volume Pricing for larger projects.
Can you drill holes or round the corners?
Yes. Drilled holes and corner radius are available as add-ons in the designer.
How long does delivery take?
Production takes 1–3 business days and shipping 2–5 business days, so most orders arrive in 3–8 business days anywhere in the US.
